We are House of Chords, a professional live function band in Birmingham, West Midlands. We are a party band for hire that provides an authentic live music experience.

Our extensive repertoire spans decades and styles from indie to soul to rock n roll and with our trained arranging skills and high quality equipment we strive for that genuine sound from The Beatles, The Smiths, Mumford & Sons, Motown and much more. The result is an exciting live set that keeps the dance floor full and your guests leave having experienced something special and different.

Many of our performances are as a wedding music band, playing party music to newly-weds and their guests, and the list of thank you messages and reviews after each wedding is overwhelming! We pride ourselves in being an alternative wedding band and many of our clients looking to hire a band for a unique wedding, book us for that reason.

We also continue to perform for various corporate events at a range of different venues including Alton Towers, Weston Park, Edgbaston Cricket Ground and The Symphony Hall, Birmingham. Our satisfied clients range from cruise ships to corporate clients including Audi, Boots, Renault and Marks & Spencer. As well as these companies’ events, we have performed at numerous fundraising galas for major charities such as Cancer Research, Marie Curie Hospice and The Stan Bowley Trust. Each event is a great night to remember and we have been described as “one of the UK’s best bands for hire.”

The band travel locally around Birmingham and the West Midlands, performing regularly in Coventry and Wolverhampton as well as across the local counties: Worcestershire, Warwickshire, Leicestershire, Derbyshire, Shropshire, Staffordshire and Northamptonshire. We also travel nationally UK wide all year round and even internationally performing for destination weddings and holiday companies – previous trips have included heading to Paris, Denmark and the Norwegian Fjords.

Whilst there are a lot of Birmingham bands, we strive to offer a unique authentic approach unlike any other.
